This coin slide is a very robust and highly selective single coin slide mechanism. It can be supplied for almost any world coin and is particularly suitable for the effective selection of shaped coins (e.g. the English 5Op coin). It incorporates a micrometer adjustment for coin diameter and thickness together with tests for ferromagnetic replicas (if required) and forced-fit replicas, washers and various other methods of fraudulent operation. It also has a fail-safe feature in case of spring failure. The money can always be returned to the operator until the slide has engaged the first ratchet tooth. The "operating distance" is the protected movement available for working a machine or appliance.
