LED G4 12 Volt 2 Watt AC/DC

This G4 LED 12 Volt 2 Watt is the perfect replacement for your conventional G4 bulbs. The change to LED brings you many advantages!

The advantage of this G4 LED lamp:
Due to the low energy consumption of only 2 watts, you can save up to 90% of your energy and maintenance costs and profit from the long service life of up to 25,000 hours. Traditional light bulbs have an average lifespan of only about 1,000 hours. The installation of the LED lamps is very simple: switch off the fuse and FI switch, if the lamp socket is de-energized, pull your old G4 lamp out of the socket as soon as it has cooled down and then simply plug in the G4 LED instead.

When is the use or replacement of Led Transformers required?

Which LED bulbs are recommended for replacement of the transformer?
In the case of Led bulbs with 12 Volt voltage, in most cases we recommend replacing the transformers with a special Led transformer. The reason for conventional halogen transformers lies in the minimum load, the voltage fluctuations and often AC voltage instead of DC voltage.

Statement:

1. Minimum load:
Conventional ballasts or transformers require a minimum load that must be achieved in order to provide the correct output voltage and conduction. This minimum load is usually not achieved with Led bulbs, they require much less power. For example, on halogen transformers is the inscription 10-60 watts or 10-60 VA. This means that the halogen transformer only starts to work at a connected load (load = current consumption of the light source) of 10 watts and therefore emits enough power. At 60 watts, however, the transformer is at maximum capacity. This means that all connected bulbs together must not consume more than 60 watts. Since LED bulbs often have only a consumption between 1W - 10 watts, this minimum load is not reached and it causes the Led lights do not light or flicker.

2. Voltage fluctuations:
Conventional halogen transformers and ballasts have slight voltage fluctuations, which can reach voltage spikes of up to 15 watts. LEDs are unfortunately very sensitive to voltages higher than 12 volts and can be defective. Most of our LED bulbs are protected against this overvoltage, yet conventional halogen transformers shorten the life of Led lights.
